Focused on ‘raising the level’ of the Honda RC213V, Aleix Espargaró has been working, but the Spaniard, a new member of the manufacturer’s test team, will not be present at the tests starting shortly, the first of the year.

After explaining that he was very pleased with what Honda brought to test, despite not everything going as planned at the Shakedown due to not having as much time on the bike as he would have liked, and rain disrupting the test plan on one day, the rider who has recently been working with Honda in this new chapter of his career explained that he will not be present at the next MotoGP tests – from February 5 to 7 in Sepang – but that he will still have plenty to do.

‘My schedule is quite busy and I won’t be present at the next test with the factory team but I will go to Portimão in a few weeks and then we have Jerez, Valencia, we have many tests,’ he said before explaining that all time spent with the bike must be put to good use, as it needs to evolve:

– We know we need these test days to try to raise the level of the bike and I will try my best.
